Welcome to the first post from Warren’s World.

Your lifestyle, your occupation and even your life depend on good vision.  You get more information about the world through your eyes than all the other senses combined.  Yet, vital as it is, we tend to take our vision for granted.  We probably have less information about our vision than we do about vitamins, angioplasty or diets.  The average person worries more about their teeth than their eyes, since toothaches hurt.  Your eyes do not normally “ache”, although it may be disguised as a headache, fatigue, or avoidance of reading.

Safety Tidbit:  If your eyewear came from the local dollar-mart, you should ask yourself how much are your eyes worth.

Hi there!  My name is Ashley and I am the Affiliate Marketing Manager for AFEyewear & FramesDirect and an Air Force Wife.  (So basically that means I market our eyewear on other people’s websites in hopes to generate more sales while simultaneously holding the home front down in California.)

My husband and I live just outside of Travis AFB where he is stationed and is currently an Aircraft Commander in the KC-10.  (He starts KC-10 Instructor Pilot training this week, sorry, but I have to brag a little. ) While he is out jet setting around the world in his own private tanker, I’m working away to help AFEyewear reach out to our military family.  So, what I’m saying is, “Help me, help you” he he.

Hello, my name is Jill Varner and I joined the Ordering Department and the Armed Forces Eyewear Family about three short months ago. My husband and I joined the Air Force about four years ago this month and haven’t looked back. I refer to both of us as joining the Military, because as you know, it takes the whole family to make the Military life work. I don’t claim any children yet, unless you count 10 pounds of pure dachshund awesomeness as a child. Her name is molly and she and I enjoy spending time in my home state of Texas when Nick is deployed. I miss Texas, but I’m not upset with living near wine country and Tahoe. As a military spouse, I have worked my fair share of jobs and have been absolutely blessed with Armed Forces Eyewear. I work remotely from home as do many of my Air Force friends, which gives me the opportunity to interact with people professionally as well as be a homemaker.

Hi there…my name is April and I am an online optician with Armed Forces Eyewear.  If you have placed an order with us there is a good chance I have had the privilege of communicating with you either by e-mail or over the phone.  I am truly honored to serve our military members and their families and come from a family of military service.  My grandfather served in WWII, my uncle served in the Navy during Vietnam, and my father-in-law served many years in the Air Force as a mechanic.

I have been married for 10 years and am the mother of 5 children.  I am a native Texan and enjoy riding motorcycles, four wheeling, reading, and making jewelry.

Hi my name is Susie.  I was born, raised and currently reside in the lovely state of Texas with my wonderful husband and 2 beagles (my children). While I am not a Military Spouse I have a strong love for the US Military and their families. I still remember being a little girl spending the summers with my grandparents and pouring over old pictures of my grandfather in his Navy uniform. That memory and his stories of the loyalty to his country still warm my heart today. It has been a great adventure and honor working for Armed Forces Eyewear.com.
